海沿いの街、イギリスのブライトンにスタジオを構え、伝統ある日本の真珠養殖から生まれる真珠と、独自のデザインをミックスしたジュエリーを丁寧な手作業で仕上げるmariko tsuchiyama。

自然にある木の実やたね、殻、茎、女性の素肌からインスピレーションを受け、その摂理の美しさを表現する素材を、繊細でミニマルにデザイン。ありのままの姿を残した真珠と、そこに何層にも重ねられた自然イメージは、デザイナーの内面の美しさをも表現しています。

Being based next to the sea in Brighton, England Mariko Tsuchiyama’s studio invokes creativity and the inspiration to continue create beautiful collections.

She blends organic aesthetic contours with minimal delicate form and design, inspired by seeds, nuts, shells, stems, and the bare skin of women. In so doing, she makes poetic space at once a scene and a whisper – by leaving the pearls untouched, in their natural iridescent tones. Nature makes layers and Mariko reveals the inner beauty in her designs.
