英国エジンバラ芸術大学を卒業後、英国を中心に各国のギャラリーやアートフェアにて作品を発表し続けているジュエリー作家。

建築のもつ幾何学的な形態や空間に着想を得た、彫刻的なジュエリーが特徴的。柔らかなシルバーの表情に七宝を組み合わせた独自の表現を追求し続けています。

After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, Mariko Sumioka presents her jewellery works at galleries and art fairs within and out of the UK.

Sculptural jewellery inspired by geometric shape and space of architectures is characteristic of her work. She continues to pursue further original expressions with silver and enamel.
